A Personal Journey Through the Tarot: 2 of Swords
Peace
Life is filled with Chaos. It always has been and it always will be. Finding a sense of calm within the chaos requires adopting a certain philosophy and developing the appropriate coping skills. The philosophy is simple to explain but hard to master; Shit Happens, don’t take it personally. Learning not to take life personally allows for an objective stance in the face of chaos but it requires you to leave your ego at the door.
Some people thrive in chaos and have a habit of taking on other’s drama as if it were their own. Recognizing that you are not responsible for solving other people’s problems (including your adult children’s) and feeling strong enough to tell the drama lovers in your life when to stop spreading it around allows for the space required to find peace.
Today I draw the Two of Swords and reflect upon the chaos in my life. Is it really about me? Is it my problem to solve? Am I just in the wrong place at the wrong time receiving someone else’s angst over someone else’s problem? Where is my balancing point?
