A Personal Journey Through the Tarot: The Star

Service Above Self

For some, empathy and compassion are as natural as breathing. They find purpose and satisfaction in caring for others. Their overwhelming need to nurture defines them. If this service is truly above self the person will exhibit a humble nature, avoiding accolades and special compensation. 

The world needs Star People. Unfortunately their giving nature leaves them vulnerable to burn out and susceptible to abuse. For those of us who are not Star People we can care for our Stars by nurturing them back as much as possible. For those of us who are Star People it is important that boundaries are created and maintained to insure good mental health. 

Today I draw The Star and reflect upon where I may be of service. What areas of my life may require more compassion and empathy?  How do I express gratitude to those who help me?
