A Personal Journey Through the Tarot: 7 of Cups
The Dreamer
There are a few rare opportunities in life when we rest in a place of pure potential. No course has yet been set and we have the ability to imagine what life might be. This is the time to put doubt and limitations aside and just dream about what you would like. Once the image becomes clear, then you can reverse engineer to figure out how to get there. Dreaming can be fun that way.
Dreaming is not fun when you are already on your path and you are dissatisfied. Constantly comparing what you are experiencing with an unreasonable expectation of what you thought you should be experiencing causes stress and despair. Dreaming is an act that takes us out of the present moment, as with most things, there is a time and a place where it works best.
Today I draw the 7 of Cups and reflect upon what it is I want out of life. Can I follow my dreams without dishonouring my promises and obligations? Am I at a crossroads where all things are negotiable? Am I looking at an opportunity to start fresh?
