Passion

Passion takes courage. Following your passion is never the safe route, it requires taking risks. It is so much easier to talk yourself out of following your dreams than it is to persevere, but if you persevere the rewards could be amazing! Following your passion means you will be doing what you love to do everyday. You will be fuelled by creativity and at the end of the day you will be filled with a unique and wonderful sense of satisfaction and personal pride. Of course, if you fail it will be spectacular and hopefully will fill you with the courage to try again. 

When encouraging the flames of passion you must be careful who you share your ideas with. Those around you will always tell you why it is better to be safe, why you should take the common path, why you should forget your dreams. What they are doing is telling you why they could not fulfil their own dreams, why they let their own passion die. Try not to let them distract you. 

The Ace of Wands is the Prime of Fire. To be healthy fire needs oxygen and fuel: exercise, good sleep, good food. To be safe fire needs a hearth: containment within a plan of action. 

Today I draw the The Ace of Wands and consider my creative expression. Is the day my own or am I giving myself away? Am I able to take risks while still honouring my obligations? Have I distracted myself so much I have forgotten where my passion is?
