Today I contemplate Temperance and the Kings. As a leader can I understand that it is not about me? What needs to be done to make sure that the needs of all involved are accounted for? How is it possible to moderate between those who want to make a profit and those who want to make a life?

Today I contemplate Death and the Queens. When the Goddess speaks I can find comfort in knowing she will be true to her word. Fear not, for when it rains it will always rain down.

The typical Hero’s journey hinges on a devastating event that not only changes the life of the soon to be hero but also ultimately threatens his tribe. There is no going back to the way things where so the young person is faced with a choice. Wallow in the loss, or accept the new reality. Wallowing in the loss leads to victimization, accepting the new reality leads to victory. The Knight chooses victory.

Today I contemplate Justice and the Pages. The unexamined life is not worth living. – Socrates. To decide what is Just/Right for me and my life I need to do a little self examination. Through the pages I ask myself: Are my beliefs Just? Is my passion fuelled? Are my emotions honoured? Am I taking care of the essentials?

Today I contemplate the Wheel and the Tens. James T. Kirk says in Return to Tomorrow; “I don’t believe we can stop. In fact, through all our existence the frightened and faint hearted have been warning men not to push any farther not to learn any more, not to hope, grow and exceed themselves. I don’t believe we can stop, I don’t believe we are meant too.”

Today I contemplate the Hermit and the Nines. Am I able to experience the trials and joys of life without receiving constant feedback from the outside world? Does my sense of value come from me or is it dependant on others?

Today I contemplate the Chariot and the Sevens. Planning and prep work can be arduous but it leads to a relaxed and joyful attitude during the execution of the task. Measure twice and cut once.

Today I contemplate the Lovers and the Sixes. Can I feel confident in knowing my decision is sound? Once I have made my decision am I able to fully commit to the venture? Do I have what it takes to follow through on my decision?

Today I contemplate the Hierophant and the Fives. Have I become so inflexible in my beliefs and assumptions that I would rather suffer the consequences then reconsider my position? Is my ego so fragile that I need to be conceded to in all aspects of my life? Is it my way or the highway?
