Moving Ahead

It is not an easy decision to leave a situation to find a better place, even if the situation we are in has become intolerable. We live by the idea that the devil we know is better than the devil we don’t know. This idea is based on an assumption that things will never improve no matter what we do. This is unfortunate because we do have the ability to create a better life for ourselves. It takes courage, determination, tenacity and risk to move on and create something new. It is possible. 

The Six of Swords is telling us that not only is moving on possible, but it is necessary. Cut your losses, stop the bleeding and go find another way. No one else can do this for you. It must be you. 

Today I draw the Six of Swords and contemplate where I am going. Do I have a clear vision of where I want to end up? Can I successfully leave behind that which hinders my movement? Can I start fresh with new ideas and not just recreate that which I have finally had the courage to leave?
